A 38 éves svéd csatár két év után távozott novemberben a Los Angeles Galaxytól, az elmúlt idényben 31 mérkőzésen 31-szer talált be. Ibrahimovic 2010 és 2012 között már játszott a milánói együttesben, amelynek színeiben 61 mérkőzésen 42 gólt szerzett, és amellyel bajnoki címet és Olasz Szuperkupát nyert.
A Milan 17 forduló alatt 21 pontot gyűjtött, így mindössze 11. helyen áll a Serie A-ban. Ibrahimovic szerződése az idény végén tart, egyéves hosszabbítási opcióval.
